General Studies

      The STAR Center (Satellite Tutoring and Advising Resources Center) is a joint effort between the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Housing to provide walk-in academic advising and tutoring services to students within the residence hall environment. Located in Smith Hall room 110, students can drop in and talk to an academic adviser Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15- 5:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:00-5:00 p.m.

   Math Tutoring

     Students can also stop by Smith Hall- Star Center for math tutoring for any 100-level courses on:

• Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00 PM

    Writing Assistance  

     Students can also stop by Smith Hall - Star Center to talk to a tutor from the Writing Assistance Center (Drop-by only):

• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:30 PM
• Sundays from 1:00 - 7:00 PM

     No appointment is necessary and the services provided by the Star Center are open to all University of Nebraska students.
