The purpose of the Transfer Guide is to assist students who are attending community colleges in selecting the most appropriate courses for the major they intend to complete once they transfer to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). This guide focuses on the Achievement Centered Education (general education requirements ACE 1 - 10) which apply to all UNL degrees AND the general education requirements for the degrees that are associated with the Omaha entities of UNMC (Pre-Nursing) and UNO (Criminal Justice). This guide incorporates the degree requirements as stated in the Undergraduate Bulletin. Undergraduate Bulletin
Degree requirements may change each academic year. Students interested in transferring to UNL should communicate frequently with a UNL academic adviser to confirm course selections. To facilitate the transfer of hours, all grades should be a "C" or higher. The University of Nebraska - Lincoln applies a maximum of 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) in transfer from community colleges toward a UNL degree. To ensure smooth transfer to UNL, follow the curricula on this web site.
